Stillwater Sports, the organiser of the Fedhealth MTB Challenge, one of Stellenbosch’s most exciting family-oriented mountain bike races, is excited to welcome Root44 as the new venue of this iconic event, which will take place on 9 and 10 September 2023.
“We are thrilled to host the Fedhealth MTB Challenge at the magnificent Root44 in 2023,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports.
Situated between Somerset West and Stellenbosch, linking the Winelands MTB trails, Root44 is the perfect venue for the event with entrants being treated to the most incredible views on the day, with over 40 different food vendors, 22 local artists, an indoor kids play area and luxurious sit-down restaurant.
“We can’t think of a more appropriate venue to host this iconic family-oriented MTB event that caters for mountain biking enthusiasts of all ages.”
Something for all ages
Starting on the Saturday, future stars between 1 – 13 years of age will get to test their skill at the Fedhealth MTB Challenge Kids Event that consists of a fun-filled 500m, 1.5km or 5km event.
Parents that would like to take part in an event with their children can sign up for the Fedhealth MTB Challenge Fun Ride (+-15km) that will also take place on the Saturday.
On Sunday. the more serious riders will get the chance to test their mountain biking prowess at the Fedhealth MTB Challenge Marathon (+-60km) and Half Marathon (+-30km).
A fun day out for the family
