All online orders placed through Dis-Chem Living Fit (www.dischemlivingfit.co.za) are fulfilled and delivered by Dis-Chem Pharmacies (Pty) Ltd. Delivery Areas and Options

  • Service Area: Delivery is available only within the borders of South Africa. Orders cannot be shipped to PO Boxes or addresses outside the country.
  • Courier Service: Deliveries are handled by a third-party courier service contracted by Dis-Chem Pharmacies. The specific courier may vary depending on operational requirements.
  • Delivery Timeframes:
    • Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 2–5 business days from the date of purchase, subject to stock availability and payment confirmation.
    • Once dispatched, delivery generally takes 2–7 business days, depending on your location within South Africa. Extended lead times may apply for areas outside main metropolitan regions.
    • These timeframes are estimates and may be affected by high-volume periods (e.g., Black Friday, Christmas week, riots, or COVID waves), public holidays, or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., courier delays or weather events).

Shipping Costs

  • Standard Delivery Fees:
    • A flat delivery fee of R35 is charged for orders under R600 in main metropolitan areas.
    • For orders above R600 in main metropolitan areas, delivery is free.
    • For regional and remote areas (outside main metropolitan areas), a minimum fee of R150 applies per delivery, regardless of order value. This reflects the additional travel required by couriers.
  • Bulk Orders: For bulk orders exceeding 10kg (e.g., traders or hawkers), an additional delivery fee is calculated based on the weight and dimensions of the shipment. This fee is charged over and above the standard R35 or R150 rate, and our Online Store administrator will contact you to arrange courier details and confirm costs.
  • Additional Fees: We reserve the right to charge an extra delivery fee if required (e.g., for redelivery attempts following a failed delivery). This will be communicated to you as needed.

Order Processing and Tracking

  • Processing: Orders are processed once payment has been successfully verified. You will receive an order confirmation email with your Dis-Chem order reference number upon completion of your purchase.
  • Tracking: Upon dispatch, you will receive a tracking number (waybill number) via email or SMS, allowing you to monitor your delivery progress through the courier’s tracking system. If you do not receive this, contact online@dischemlivingfit.co.za with your order reference number.

Delivery Conditions

  • Successful Delivery:
    • Deliveries occur Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 17:00, excluding weekends and public holidays.
    • A signature may be required upon receipt. It is your responsibility to ensure someone is available to accept the parcel or to provide a secure delivery location.
    • If no one is available, the courier may attempt redelivery or leave a notification for you to reschedule or collect from a designated point.
  • Failed Delivery:
    • If delivery cannot be completed after reasonable attempts, the order may be returned to Dis-Chem Pharmacies. You will be notified, and an additional fee (minimum R35 or R150, depending on location) may apply for redelivery.
  • Risk of Loss: Ownership and risk of loss transfer to you once the order is delivered to the address provided or collected from a designated point.

Issues with Delivery

  • Incorrect or Damaged Items:
    • If your order is delivered with missing, incorrect, or damaged items, notify us within 48 hours of receipt by emailing online@dischemlivingfit.co.za or careline@dischem.co.za, including your order reference number and details of the issue.
    • We may request photographic evidence or the return of the item (in its original packaging) to process a replacement or refund, subject to our Refunds Policy.
  • Non-Delivery: If your order does not arrive within the estimated timeframe, contact online@dischemlivingfit.co.za with your order reference number for assistance.

Limitations of Liability

  • Dis-Chem Living Fit and Dis-Chem Pharmacies shall not be liable for delays, non-delivery, or damage caused by factors beyond our reasonable control, including courier errors, incorrect address details provided by you, or force majeure events (e.g., strikes, natural disasters).
  • Our liability for failing to deliver timeously is limited to arranging delivery at a later agreed time at no additional charge, except where additional fees apply (e.g., redelivery).
  • Delivery dates and times are estimates only and do not constitute a guaranteed service level.
