SUGGESTED USE:
Stove Top: Add ½ cup (50 g) of oats, 1 cup (250 ml) of water and a pinch of salt to a saucepan. Bring to the boil and allow to simmer for 5 – 7 minutes (depending on the required consistency) stirring ocassionally. Remove from heat and allow to stand for a few minutes.
Microwave: In a large bowl, combine ½ cup (50 g) of oats, 1 cup (250 ml) water and a pinch of salt and microwave on high for 3 – 5 minutes. Be sure to watch carefully to avoid water boiling over. Allow to stand for 2 minutes.
Add toppings such as milk. milk substitutes, honey, seeds, nuts or fruit to taste.
NOTE: Microwave ovens vary. These timings are a guide only and are based on an 850 – 1100 watt oven.
